PEOPLE in Wrexham have been warned to be on their guard following a report of an attempted scam targeting a pensioner.
An elderly resident from the Southsea area of the town made a complaint to North Wales Police after receiving several calls asking her to put money on a day safe card which would then be collected from her property.
The lady, who didn’t wish to be named, said the scam was worrying as she lived on her own and that she wanted others to be made aware.
A spokesman for the Police said: “We would just like to remind all residents to stay vigilant.”
