Wrexham’s first ever Christmas Village has been hailed as a success by its organisers.
The event attracted hundreds of people onto the covered lawns of Llwyn Isaf from Friday afternoon, right through until Sunday, with an array of festive chalets proving to be the ideal way of soaking up the yuletide atmosphere whilst bagging some last minute Christmas bargains.

There was a fantastic mix of hand crafted goods and bespoke artisan produce and some brilliant festive entertainment in a magical Teepee, which proved to be a haven from the bitterly cold wind and rain, including performances by Gary Sausage the Children’s Entertainer, Amy Grace, Luke Gallagher, Before the Storm, Bobbie Jo Pritchard, Rhythm Train and Storyteller Jacqui Blore.
Santa’s reindeers also made an appearance, with children given the chance to feed the iconic beasts, but they were only there for a few hours every day, as they have a busy nights work coming up in just a weeks time.
Cllr Mark Pritchard, Leader of Wrexham Council, said: "I know lots of people are already looking forward to this final festive treat and we look forward to welcoming many new faces over the coming days.
"I would like to take this opportunity to thank the town centre events team for all their hard work during the past few months who have done a fantastic job in making sure everyone has had a Christmas to remember in Wrexham.”
