A MAN lunged forward and headbutted a police car.
He injured himself and smashed a quarter light window.
Steven James Mullins, 26, of Lyme Grove in Buckley, initially claimed he had been pushed.
But he changed his plea to guilty on the morning of a trial when CCTV footage showed he had not been pushed, said Steven Alis, defending.
However he had been cleared of other charges.
Appearing at North East Wales Magistrates Court at Mold, Mullins was ordered to pay £266 compensation to North Wales Police following the incident at Lyme Grove on July 3.
He was placed on a 12 month community order, ordered to carry out 60 hours of unpaid work and pay £240 costs and an £85 surcharge.
District judge Gwyn Jones said Mullins' recollection after drinking eight pints while watching England play football was not the best.
