A CALENDAR featuring some of the best views across Wrexham is now on sale.

Wrexham Council received numerous pictures of architecture and scenery taken across the county, ranging from sheep to a National Trust Castle, a World Heritage Site to trees and views as part of its annual photography competition.

The completed 2019 Wonders of Wrexham Calendar has now been printed and is on sale at the town's Tourist Information Centre, Wrexham Library, Wrexham County Borough Museum, Bank Street Social and Tŷ Pawb.

It costs £5 with all profits going to the Mayor’s charity fund. Those interested in buying a calendar are being urged to get theirs now as only 500 have been printed.

Cllr Andy Williams, mayor of Wrexham, said: “It’s excellent value and shows some of the truly beautiful areas of scenery and architecture in Wrexham.

"We really do have a fantastic location here and the calendar is a reminder to us all of this. I hope you will support my charities this year by buying a copy of the Wonders of Wrexham 2019 calendar.”

Locations in the calendar include: Bangor on Dee Bridge and Church, Bersham Waterfall, All Saints Church in Gresford, The Mere at Hanmer, Chirk Castle and more.
