A FORMER discount store is to undergo a programme of 'substantial' repairs, a town centre manager has said.
The Original Factory Shop in Buckley closed down earlier this year.
In a report to Buckley town councillors last week, town centre manager Andy White stated: "After speaking to the agents responsible for the management and letting of the former [Original] Factory Shop, I can confirm that although there is the normal social media rumours - everything from Wetherspoons to a car showroom - there are no immediate plans let the building.
"The main reason for this is, in the short term, substantial repairs to both the roof and upper floor area will take place over the next few months."
The Original Factory Shop was established in 1969.
According to its website, the company still has a unit at Flintshire Retail Park in Flint.
