FIRE crews battled a Flintshire farm fire for more than two hours.
The fire at Pontybodkin, which started at about 4pm yesterday, appears to have been focused around a large mound of tyres on the farm.
Eyewitness reports said thick black smoke could be seen from a great distance.
Firefighters in one appliance called to the scene used one hose and one set of breathing apparatus.
They stood down at around 6.20pm and the cause of the fire is not yet known.
The fire also caused the temporary closure of Tir Y Fron Lane.
