MEMBERS of the Wrexham branch of the Trefoil Guild have been celebrating 75 years of existence.
The Trefoil Guild was set up 75 years ago to support Girlguiding and today to this day have Guild meetings throughout the UK and abroad.
To celebrate the their 75th birthday, Wrexham Guild hosted an afternoon tea party at the Wrexham guide headquarters on September 18.
Guests at the afternoon included members of other Trefoil Guilds within Clwyd, from Mid Shropshire, Oswestry and Chester. Also in attendance were the Mayor & Mayoress of Wrexham Cllr Andy Williams and Bev Williams.
The gathering was entertained by Sing with Us Wrexham Choir and the afternoon tea was served courtesy of Dot 2 Dot cafe from the town centre.
Sue Davies, who helped organise the event, said: "The event went really well, the Sing With Us choir wer amazing, absolutely outstanding.
"We had around 75 guests from all over Clwyd, Shropshire and Cheshire and together we raised around £200 for Riding for the Disabled.
"There were a lot of people there, a lot of old friends. We all had some cake and sang happy birthday and we had a short service to finish.
"I'd like to thank everyone who worked together to make the afternoon a success."
