A TOWN councillor has said a change is needed for a local park to bring more life to the area.
Sean Bibby, of Shotton town council, said King George Street Play Area is in desperate need of a revamp, which will then encourage more children to use it.
He added: “It’s looking rather worn and tired and I do think it’s now in desperate need of a revamp.
“Whilst still in early days, I’m pleased the ball is starting to roll on this and hopefully soon we will see a more attractive, modern and vibrant play area for local children to enjoy.”
The councillor said he had received a number of complaints regarding the park’s appearance and he has recently had a site meeting with Richard Roberts from Aura Leisure who has prepared a list of potential improvements and costings.
