FAMILIES flocked to Bangor on Dee for a local charity's popular Duck Race.
On Saturday August 11, The Royal Oak hosted the Duck Race in aid of Nightingale House Hospice. Hundreds of plastic ducks raced for cash prizes, including a giant duck race featuring decorated 32cm 'celebrity' ducks.

Debbie Barton, Area Fundraiser for Nightingale House who organised the event said: “It was a fantastic day and the sun shone too.
"Our thanks go the Royal Oak for having us, the Bangor on Dee Salmon Anglers for their sterling work catching the ducks in the river, to corporate supporters who bought a big duck, all our volunteers, including young farmers who helped on the day and everyone who bought a small duck ticket or came along.
"It was great fun and quite a spectacle in a beautiful location, helping us raise well over £3,000 for hospice funds.”
