CCTV has caught the moment four men broke into Gresford Colliery Sports and Social Club.
Four men pulled up outside the social club in a maroon Renault Clio in the early hours of Wednesday morning.
The men gained entry to the social club by breaking through the front patio window after cutting the wires to what they thought was the CCTV.
Valerie Davies, club steward, said: "It happened between 12.30am and 1.30am. We didn't see it as nobody was about of course.
"They've cut the wires and come in through the front window. In the end all they took was a bottle of brandy, a bottle of southern Comfort and two bottles of wine. I think the alarms going off surprised them otherwise they would have taken more.
"We don't know the cost of the damage yet. We're still waiting to hear from the glazier and they've cut the wires too, but until we put it all down on paper we won't know the cost."
Police are appealing for anyone with information to contact them on 101.
