NEV Powell has bolstered his squad ahead of the champions' Welsh Premier League opener against Llanelli at Farrar Road tomorrow (3.45pm) with the signing of former Wrexham defender Shaun Pejic.
Pejic, 28, who made 175 appearances in nine years at the Racecourse, joined the Citizens this week after a short spell at Barrow FC.
The son of former Wales international Mel Pejic also turned out for Crystal Palace Baltimore and the Vancouver Whitecaps.
Pejic was capped six times for Wales at under 21 level, and also qualifies for Serbia through his paternal grandfather.
CITY defender Clive Williams has been loaned out to Porthmadog, while striker John Owen will spend the season at Llangefni.
MEANWHILE, City have confirmed that Nicky Ward has been released from his contract.
