THERE is still time to enter the North Wales Bike Ride and raise money for Barnardo’s Cymru.

The event takes place on Sunday, June 26 starting at Pensarn and it will be a fun day out for active families and keen cyclists.

The 14 mile family friendly route is along a designated cycle path and back along the same route and coincides with Bike Week.

Entry fee will be £8 per cyclist and free for children who it is hoped will raise at least £25 in sponsorship for Barnardo’s Cymru. Trophies and prizes will be awarded to teams and individuals raising the most sponsorship for Barnardo’s.

Sarah Jordan, event organiser for Barnardo’s Cymru said: “All the money raised from the bike ride will go towards our services in North Wales, helping to give children and young people the best possible start in life. It is not a race and you don’t have to be superfit, just pedal along at your own pace.

“It will be a great day out for the family and people take advantage of a special meal deal at Pantri Bach Café Pensarn which at £15 for a family of four is a bargain.”

Across North Wales, Barnardo’s the leading children’s charity offers support to families who are under stress, disabled young people, teenagers leaving care, young people who are homeless; young carers, children whose parents misuse drugs or alcohol, and children who need foster or adoptive homes.

Claire, a mother of three got support when her youngest child was born with a serious eye condition.
