A CONVICTED killer who escaped from prison on Monday was arrested last night.
Kenneth Jones, 72, of Connah's Quay, was arrested after being spotted by an off-duty police officer at a service station in Gloucestershire.
He had escaped from Leyhill Open Prison near Bristol on Monday where he was serving a life sentence for the murder of William Brooking a 64-year-old homeless man.
He was convicted of the murder, which took place in Connah's Quay, at a trial in 1988.
