A MAN has admitted killing a 24-year-old with a single punch.
Airbus worker Gafyn Denman, 22, appeared at Caernarfon Crown Court today (Tuesday, July 20) over the death of Peter WIlliam Jones in Buckley on May 9.
Mr Jones had been on a night out with his father when the pair were attacked, and died at the Countess of Chester hospital later that day.
Denman, of Woodlands Close, Mold, admitted manslaughter but denied assaulting Mr Jones's father.
He was remanded in custody until August 27 for a pre-sentence report.
Ross Taylor, 22, of Llys y Wern, Sychdyn admitted assault causing actual bodily harm to Mr Jones’s father, also called Peter, on the same day. Denman denied the assault charge and the prosecution said it was their intention for the allegation to lie on file.
Taylor was granted conditional bail with an 8pm-6am curfew by Judge Merfyn Hughes QC. A pre-sentence report was also ordered in his case.
