A 21-YEAR-OLD man will appear in court today charged with a wounding offence after a man received serious head injuries in an incident in Flint.
Ambulance crews were called to the Sydney Street area of the town at about midnight on Saturday morning after receiving reports a 55-year-old man had collapsed.
He was first taken to the Countess of Chester Hospital before being transferred to the Walton Centre in Liverpool where his condition is described as critical but stable.
The 21-year-old male, described as being local to the Flint area, will appear in court this morning where an application will be made to remand him in custody.
The street was closed by North Wales Police crime scene investigators to carry out forensic examinations.
Police are appealing for any witnesses who may have witnessed the assault to make contact with North Wales Police on 101.
