A CHARITY that helps homeless families has received a major financial boost.
Save the Family, which runs Plas Bellin Hall in Oakenholt, has built a new play area in the woodlands near the hall, thanks to a £15,500 donation from Network Rail.
The hall offers parents and children who have fallen on difficult times a safe place to stay.
Charity founder Edna Speed said: “Keeping families together in a safe environment is immensely important and plays a big part in the healing process for our families.
“Save the Family is very grateful to Network Rail for its donation which has enabled us to provide a safer environment for our families.”
Jerry Swift, head of corporate responsibility at Network Rail, said: “Network Rail is proud to have worked with Save the Family on such a worthwhile project that will help to give these children a safe environment to learn, grow and enjoy.”
