FAME is calling for a Flintshire band who have landed themselves a place on a weekly reality TV show.
I Am Austin, a drum and bass two-piece band from Connah’s Quay, have won one of six places to get expert industry help and perform on the Channel 4 Evo Music Rooms show, presented by Radio One DJ Edith Bowman.
Bandmates David Mitchell and Adam Hughes, both 24, will also get a fully-equipped recording studio to lay down three singles.
Drummer and vocalist David said: “It is absolutely amazing. It feels like I have just jumped up and high-fived the moon.”
Initially 3,000 were whittled down to 20 in the competition before viewers were invited to vote for their favourite 10 acts.
Judges reduced the groups to the final six who will now appear on the TV programme starting on April 8 on Channel Four.
