A LIFEBOAT crew had a double call-out on Monday.
The Flint Lifeboat first launched at 8.15am after reports a man had walked in to the River Dee on the Greenfield side of Flint Castle and was refusing to come out.
However, shortly after launching, the man walked ashore and was taken in to custody by police.
Alan Forrester, operations manager for Flint, said: “We are experiencing high tides at the moment, and had the man had stayed in the water he could easily have been swept away.”
The crew were then called to search for Mark Price, from Little Sutton, who had been missing since Sunday morning.
Volunteers carried out a shoreline search of Neston marshes by sea and land, before standing down at 09.45am.
Mr Price is described as white, about 6ft tall, of a slim build with dark collar length hair and a closely trimmed greying beard.
Anyone with information should call 0845 4580000 quoting incident number 305.
