NEW Year’s Eve passed with little drama in Flintshire and Wrexham, according to police officers.
District inspectors across the county said most residents were generally well-behaved when celebrating the end of the decade and 2010 was welcomed in quietly.
Mold community beat manager Anthony Butlin said: “In South Flintshire it was very quiet until about 12.30am, when there were some fights and rowdiness.
“We were also called to an incident in Caergwrle, where there were about 50 or 60 people out in the street at 2.30am.
“There was a lot of broken glass but nothing too serious or out of the ordinary.”
Wrexham town inspector Alex Goss said: “It went really really well this year.
“The weather is cold, so not many people wanted to stay out, but incidents of disorder and arrests were much lower than last year.”
