A playgroup has held a fun day in their bid to secure £50,000 for an eco-classroom.
Playmates Playgroup, based in Mold, held the event at Mold Alex Football Club in a fundraising drive to secure their future.
The event raised £665 towards their target of £50,000, in the hope of purchasing their own building for an eco-classroom after being relocated several times.
The event, one of many fundraisers over the last 12 months, saw a few hundred people attend. There were many activities for children to get involved with including a bouncy castle, meditation sessions, glitter and colouring, face painting and many more.
A raffle took place which boasted great prizes such as an £80 tattoo voucher, a facial and an icecream maker.
Becky Edwards, who organised the event, said: “The event was absolutely fantastic and we couldn’t have asked for better weather.
“We are hoping to make this into an annual event to bring the community into the playgroup and show them what we are about but to also give them a reason to help keep the playgroup going in the future.”
She added: “Thank you to all the staff and volunteers. The staff at Mold Alex Football Club were brilliant.
“And thank you to those in the community who turned up and showed support by donating.”
