A supermarket has celebrated its official relaunch with the good causes that it helps.
Mayor of Wrexham, Cllr John Pritchard, officially reopened Asda on Holt Road after a major refurbishment.
Mary Williams, the store’s community champion, said that representatives from Nightingale House Hospice, Wales Air Ambulance, and St Giles Parish Church’s luncheon club and memory cafe also attended.
She added: “I think it’s nice because we have been open in Wrexham since 1972, so it’s nice to do something to bring all our charities together.”
The store has remained open during the works as improvements, which include a new George clothing section, were carried out overnight.
