INDIE heroes The Wedding Present have confirmed a Wrexham gig to commemorate the 30th anniversary of the release of their classic major label debut album Bizarro.

David Gedge and co visit the town's Live Rooms (formerly Central Station) on May 3, 2019, where they will play songs from Bizarro including fan favourites like Brassneck and Kennedy.

The Wedding Present will be also playing festivals throughout the summer as well as continuing to help to promote screenings of the George Best album feature film documentary Something Left Behind.

The band will also be recording a new session for the BBC Radio 6 Music DJ, Marc Riley. The band’s first six Marc Riley sessions have already been released on two compilation LPs by Hatch Records of Leeds.

Finally, David Gedge is hoping to find time to continue writing and publishing issues of Tales From The Wedding Present - his auto-biography in comic book form – as well as continuing to DJ around the country and curate his annual festival in Brighton, At The Edge Of The Sea.

The Wedding Present celebrate the 30th anniversary of Bizarro at Wrexham Live Rooms on May 3, 2019. Tickets from www.seetickets.com
