Edgeley Bank, Edgeley

There are pros and cons with every property and Bank House is no exception…..

In all honesty, it is hardly the prettiest house on our books, but there again, it is a fine opportunity for someone to transform this ugly duckling into a beautiful swan!

From whatever angle you look at it, there isn't one elevation that looks quite right, yet there is something quite compelling about this spacious family home.......Surprisingly, once inside, the presentation is in much better condition than you might expect; in fact, the kitchen and walk-in pantry have both been refitted.

Not only that, it provides spacious accommodation, including 4 reception rooms and 4 bedrooms (the master bedroom being extremely spacious with stunning views). All sanitary fittings which were once 'state of the art' are alas, now relics of the past and will need updating.

Outside, the formal gardens are also looking tired and overgrown, but could soon be transformed into their former glory. However, there are incredibly useful outbuildings including workshops, garages, covered storage and even an Arcon prefab house from the 1940's within the grounds (somewhere for an excitable teenager perhaps!).

From its substantial plot there are stunning rural views and within the grounds there are 2 orchard areas and a well.

The location is superb: a place in which to unwind, relax and chill out from the hectic life that we have all become accustomed to. It may require tender loving care to bring it into the 21st century, but as estate agents say, it is "Location, Location, Location" that really matters. In all honesty, this is a wonderful place in which to live, especially due to its close proximity to the Brown Moss Nature Reserve and lovely country walks.

It is located just under 2 miles from the centre of Whitchurch and swift links to the bypass provide onward travel to Chester, Wrexham, Shrewsbury, Nantwich and Wolverhampton.
