GRIFFITHS COLIN The funeral has taken place of Colin Griffiths who lived in Borras Park, Wrexham and passed away at Wrexham Maelor Hospital on 18th January 2019, aged 78 years. He leaves wife Val, son Mark and his partner Clare, grandson Morgan and sister Jean. Colin was a Mechanical Engineer, serving his apprenticeship at British Celanese, going on to work at Metal Box, Wrexham, BICC Helsby and Rovair, Wrexham. In his younger years he had a love of dancing and later a love of DIY and gardening. The funeral service at St. Mary's Catholic Cathedral, Wrexham was conducted by The Reverend Deacon Michael Schoonjans. Cremation followed at Pentrebychan Crematorium. Mourners were Val (wife), Mark and Clare (son and partner), Morgan (grandson), Jean (sister), Stephen and Theresa (nephew and wife), Eliza and Cliff (niece and husband), Mrs. D. Griffiths (cousin), Joe and Pearl Mulvaney, June and Margaret Bowen, Kath and Harry Morris, Gwen, Dennis and Huw Griffiths, Sue and Frank Davies, Ann and Richard Collier, Tony and Jean Crofts (friends), Philip and Fiona Jones, Terry and Rita Clifton, Ann Jones, June and Graham, Mike McKenna, James and Rachel (neighbours), Sue Charlton, Rosemary Skillen, Margaret Jones, Rosemary Greenly, Jim Evans, Jillian Jones, Adele Price, Sheila George, Dorothy Selleck and many more friends and ex-colleagues. Flowers were sent by family only. THANKS: Mrs. Val Griffiths and family of the late Colin Griffiths wish to thank all family, friends and neighbours for sympathy received in their bereavement. Our thanks also for donations totalling £500 for The Shooting Star Appeal.
