GLENYS HOPWOOD HUGHES M.B.E. Passed away peacefully at Aston Hall Care Home on the 29th July 2019. Beloved daughter of the late Griff and Katie Hughes. Glenys will be sadly missed by her family and all her many friends. Funeral Service at Bistre Parish Church, Buckley on Thursday 29 th August 2019 at 12.30pm followed by cremation at Flintshire Crematorium, Northop. Glenys was a Primary schoolteacher in Mold and secretary of the local branch of the National Union of Teachers. As well as being a dedicated teacher warmly remembered by a wide circle of former pupils and their parents, in her union activities she supported and advised many of her colleagues. On behalf of myself, my children who were her pupils, and former colleagues in the NUT, my condolences to her family and friends.
