A DEESIDE woman is celebrating dropping down three dress sizes and watching her confidence 'grow'.

Nic Edwards joined Slimming World consultant Bonnie Campbell’s Tuesday night group at her local Connahs Quay Farfield Hall and went on to lose just over half a stone in her first couple of weeks.

Now two stone lighter, Nic is enjoying life, feels more in control - and has dropped three dress sizes.

Nic said: “It’s what you’re eating that’s much more important than how much. Swapping the chocolates, sweets, crisps and fried foods for healthier lower in calories and more bulky foods fill you up for longer. I love lasagne and making quiches, and even now can still enjoy my favourite snacks such as my evening Freddo.

"I love attending the weekly group and get so many recipe ideas and so much support from the other members - I have made friends for life."

Slimming World consultant Bonnie said: “Research shows that by basing your diet on low energy foods like fruit, veg and more foods that are satiating like, pasta, lean meats, eggs, pasta and potatoes, you can actually eat more, feel more satisfied whilst losing weight."

Nic added: “My body moves so much better now and I am able to enjoy walking, swimming and aerobics. My confidence has grown, and I am thrilled that I have grown out of so many clothes that I know I will never need again. It’s life changing.”
