DEAN KEATES hopes it is third time lucky when Wrexham go head to head with Chesterfield once again tonight.

The teams face each in an FA Cup fourth qualifying round replay The Racecourse after Saturday's tie ended in a 1-1 draw.

Chesterfield won 1-0 in the league last Tuesday so Keates is targeting a first win against the Spireites.

"It is a replay, it would have been nice to have a full week's training but it is what it is," said Keates.

"We have just got to get on with it. Hopefully it is third time lucky for us.

"We could have done without the game and being Saturday, Tuesday, Saturday, Tuesday as it has been but all being well we can get through."

The winners have been drawn at home to Rochdale in the first round proper but Keates is looking no further than the Chesterfield clash.

"They are in the same place," said Keates.

"The draw got done last night but we have got to do our part of the deal and that is the job in hand against Chesterfield, and to get through."

Keates was not happy with Saturday's performance at The Proact Stadium where Chesterfield took the lead following an error by Reds captain Shaun Pearson but Bobby Grant's seventh goal of the season secured a replay.

"I thought we were a little bit sloppy, a little bit slow and a little bit laboured in our play," added Keates.

"It was not the tempo that I want to be at.

"We just need to be a bit more ruthless in the two 18 yard boxes.

"We just need to win a football match and start building confidence."
