DEVONTE REDMOND insists there is a lot more to come from him after the midfielder opened his account for Wrexham.

Summer signing Redmond weighed in with two assists during the opening four games but bagged his first Reds' goal in Sunday's 1-1 draw against Notts County.

After scoring with a well-executed shot from the edge of the area to put Wrexham back on level terms just five minutes after going behind, Redmond has vowed to continue playing his part in the quest for success.

"I just had to cut inside and I think I had to go for it," said Redmond.

"At that point in the game, we were under a bit of pressure and thankfully it ended up going in.

"I am happy I could help the lads and that is what I will carry on doing going forward.

"I am trying to do what I can to contribute to the team.

"I am happy with how I have performed so far but there is more to come; I am just looking forward to showing everyone."

Wrexham came from behind to clinch a draw and Redmond felt it was a good point for the Reds who were cheered on by 1,600 travelling supporters.

"It is an away point but we want to win as many games as we can," said Redmond.

"Obviously I am happy with my goal personally and come the end of the season it could be a good point.

"The atmosphere was pretty fiery and Notts County are a good side as they have shown.

"They have got good players and they set a high tempo right from the get-go.

"We had to weather the storm at points in the game, they had a few more shots than us and created a couple more chances but we held in there and got the point in the end.

"To come away with a point, it could be a decent result and we have just got to try and keep the momentum going, and look to take as many points as we can going forward."

Wrexham have scored in all five games so far this season and with Redmond looking for the Reds to be more ruthless, he believes it is only a matter of time before they secure a win by a big margin.

"We are looking to start to put teams away because we are creating chances in games," added Redmond.

"We need to be a little bit more ruthless and I am sure we will be up there.

"We have got the talent to go out there and really put teams to the sword so when it gels together, it is only a matter of time before we end up putting a few goals past a team.

"That has got to be the next step for us now; we can't be missing as many chances and be frustrated by teams."

Buckley & District Reds are holding a meeting on Thursday at Buckley Working Mens Club, starting 7.30pm. Non members are welcome and can join on the night.
