GRAHAM BARROW is not concerned about Aldershot Town's problems and just wants three points to make it a Happy Christmas!

A lengthy injury list meant Aldershot could only name a 13-man squad for Saturday's FA Trophy first round tie against Bedford.

Two more injuries sustained in the 3-3 draw led to the Shots using Academy players in Tuesday's replay, which Bedford won 7-0, as manager Gary Waddock couldn't afford any more injuries ahead of the busy festive period.

But whatever team Waddock fields, Barrow just wants to complete the double over Aldershot - Wrexham won 2-0 at The Racecourse on September 1 - so he can enjoy Christmas!

"We have done our homework and had them watched," said Barrow.

"They were prominent last year and I thought they played well here earlier on in the season so we know what to expect in terms of football.

"I am not particularly bothered about Aldershot's problems really, I am more concentrating on ourselves and we are looking for the points to take us into the Christmas period.

"It is the game before Christmas and it can make it a Merry Christmas if you go and do your business; it puts you in a better mood because obviously the next game is Boxing Day."

Barrow, who has succeeded Sam Ricketts as manager, rotated the squad for Wrexham's Trophy win against Boston, although some players didn't feature because of injury.

But he hopes to welcome back skipper Shaun Pearson among others at The Recreation Ground.

"When you analyse the squad, no disrespect to Sam, I don't know whether he had a little bit of luck," said Barrow.

"We never seemed to have the problems we have had this last couple of weeks.

"We are just assessing everybody day by day. Last week we were down to 13 senior players, it can happen very quickly at this level. We had a few injuries but touch wood we are better off this week.

"The skipper will be back, that was precautionary, Manny Smith had an injection this week so hopefully he can be back up-and-running training with us next week.

"But Rekeil Pyke won't be with us until the New Year due to his hamstring which is a blow, and we have got the added problem of a couple of loans are up in January which puts us in a bit of a dilemma.

"I am looking at trying to do some business."
