JORDAN MAGUIRE-DREW believes coming from behind to draw a game will stand Wrexham in good stead for the rest of the campaign.

High-flying Wrexham only trailed twice in the opening 19 league games - resulting in defeats at Solihull Moors and Sutton United - ahead of Saturday's trip to Maidstone.

The Stones took a second half lead but Sam Ricketts' side equalised to earn a 1-1 draw and take something from a match for the first time when they have trailed this season, something Maguire-Drew feels is important.

"We have got a very good dressing room and you can tell from Saturday that we never give up," said Maguire-Drew.

"Maidstone are good at what they do and they scored a great goal, we just had to keep being patient.

"We never seem to give up in any game and it is good that we can bounce back from going a goal down.

"We showed that so hopefully we can take that on for the rest of the season.

"That shows what real teams are made of. Teams will concede first sometimes but it is how you bounce back and overcome it, and I thought we gave a positive response."

Wrexham entertain leaders Leyton Orient in Saturday's top of the table clash at The Racecourse and Maguire-Drew feels it will be a good gauge to see how far the Reds have come this season.

"It is a big game and we can see where we are," added Maguire-Drew.

"It is always good to play the top teams in the league because it measures where you are at and I am looking forward to it.

"If you want to stay at the top you have got to beat all the top teams.

"They have got a very good squad and they have got a great manager as well, it will be a tough game.

"It is no surprise for me that they are up there so it will be a good test for us. If we can overcome that then we will have a right chance.

"But I don't want to focus on them too much, if we can execute our game plan and what we are good at then I don't think many teams or any team in this league will be able to live with us on our day."
