BRYAN HUGHES is set to unveil another new signing this week.

Five players - Leighton McIntosh, Devonte Redmond, Mark Harris, JJ Hooper and Adam Barton - have arrived at The Racecourse this summer and Hughes hopes to conclude another signing.

"I am hopeful that something might happen in the next few days with regards to another one coming in," said Hughes.

Hughes continues to be impressed with trialist right back Jazzi Barnum-Bobb, who has played for Cardiff, Newport and Chelmsford City, and is again expected to feature when Wrexham host Stoke City in tomorrow night's friendly.

"Jazzi did really well again on Saturday," said Hughes. "He has really impressed me and the coaching staff.

"He gets on really well with the players so he has got himself into that environment which is big for me.

"Jazzi is a good professional, his fitness levels are great; he can get up and down that right hand side and he is a good defender as well.

"He is in again this week and he is doing everything right from his side of things.

"He ticks a lot of boxes and we will see the next few days."

Hughes is looking to put the finishing touches to his squad before Wrexham kick-off a 12th season in non-league and he is pleased with the set of players he has already assembled.

"I am really happy with the squad that we have integrated this summer," added Hughes.

"We identified areas of the pitch that need strengthening and I would like to think we have brought players in who could hopefully take the club to the next level.

"We have got good strike options now with JJ Hooper, Leighton McIntosh and Mark Harris with Devonte Redmond giving us a bit of creativity behind them as well.

"Adam Barton is a defensive midfielder but he has shown the last two games he is very accomplished at the back as well.

"It just gives us a variety of personnel who can really effect games, and that is just to add to what we have already got here.

"We were close last year and I kept the nucleus of the team together which is important because they know the standards what I want."
