BRYAN HUGHES has no preference who he would like to face on the opening day of the 2019-20 National League season.

The fixtures are released today and Hughes doesn't mind who the opponents are on August 3 when Wrexham begin a 12th campaign in non-league.

"It is just see what we get," said Hughes.

"Whoever we get in the first game or first month of the season, it is irrelevant really.

"We are going to have to play them all at some stage of the season.

"I am quite relaxed about who we play. My job now is getting them ready to go into that game."

Midfielder Devonte Redmond, who turned down the offer of a new contract at Salford City, where he won promotion to the Football League via the play-offs last season, in favour of joining Wrexham, will be an interested onlooker when the fixtures come out.

"It's something that everyone looks out for," said Redmond.

"Everyone has fixtures that they look forward to, particular ones.

"The first game is always important so we will look forward to seeing who it is and try and hit the ground running."

Wrexham are currently fourth favourites for the title, priced at 9/1.
