JERMAINE MCGLASHAN has joined Wrexham on loan from Swindon Town until the end of the season.

The 30-year-old winger has played in the Football League for Cheltenham Town, Gillingham, Southend United and Swindon since being plucked out of non-league by Aldershot Town in 2010.

McGlashan joined Swindon in the summer of 2018 and has made 28 appearances for the Robins this season, the last coming as a substitute on January 5 in a 2-1 League Two win at Macclesfield.

Manager Bryan Hughes, who hopes clearance is granted so that McGlashan can feature in Saturday's top of the table clash at Leyton Orient, said: “I came across Jermaine as a player when I was at Accrington and was very impressed with his ability.

“Obviously, he has played at a higher level but he’ll come in with us now until the end of the season to help with our continued push.

“We have applied for the clearances we need for him to play here at Wrexham and hopefully he will become available for selection as soon as possible.”
