BRYAN HUGHES wants all his Wrexham players to be ready for action and insists the whole squad will be needed during the run-in.

Hughes admits he has got to find a way of keeping a "big" squad of players happy, the likes of Jason Oswell, Mike Fondop, Nicky Deverdics and Kieran Kennedy not even making the substitutes bench for Saturday's 1-0 win over Dagenham and Redbridge.

But with 14 games to go and Wrexham in title contention, Hughes says everyone will be needed and that means there could be a change in personnel for Saturday's trip to Havant and Waterlooville.

"They are all going to have some sort of impact," said Hughes.

"There are a few niggles from Saturday, we don't know how they are going to go through this week so people have got to be ready.

"It is my job to keep these guys happy to make sure when they are ready, they are going to come in and perform.

"That is the biggest job as manager when you have got such a big squad of 22-23 first-team players, they all want to play and they are all capable of playing at this level.

"It is about getting the right personnel for each game. I will see what we have got available for Havant come the end of the week and pick a team accordingly."

Oswell, who joined Wrexham from Morecambe during the January transfer window, has found opportunities limited since penning an 18 month contract.

On the decision to omit Oswell from Saturday's matchday squad, Hughes said: "It was a tactical decision.

"I picked the team, picked the substitutes, to see how we could get the best out of this game.

"The guys that were left out have all got a big part to play this season, Jason is included in that.

"I just felt going with what I had in the XI and on the bench was the best formula, so I could make changes and make the right impact as and when I needed to.

"Luckily for me it paid off."

Wrexham will be aiming to make it three wins in a row at Havant and Hughes added: "Away from home it is a lot more difficult.

"The emphasis is on the home team to come at us but I want us to play with freedom, flair, a little bit of fluidity and people to enjoy playing.

"That will be the same away from home."
