RGC have made another signing ahead of the new Indigo Group Premiership season with the acquisition of Sam Williams.

The talented teenager arrives at Stadiwm Zip World from the high-profile Scarlets Academy and he promises to be another valuable addition to the Gogs’ squad under new head coach Matt Silva.

Williams, who has also turned out for Coleg Sir Gar during a standout young career to date, has represented Wales at both U16 and U19 levels during recent age grade campaigns.

Speaking to the RGC website, he said: "I am looking forward to the season ahead and my aim is to bring some versatility with my game, along with some ball carrying and dynamism to the team.”

The new arrival is the second signings made by Silva during the initial stages of his tenor, with prop Jess Williams, brother of squad member Beau, joining the set-up last month after impressing during an initial trial period.

RGC take the field for the first time this pre-season on Friday when they entertain Caldy, which will take place at the home of Ruthin Rugby Club (7.30pm).

Another fixture has been confirmed by the Gogs, which will see them travel to National League Division One side Rosslyn Park on Saturday, August 24.
