RGC forward Curtis Reynolds has issued a heartfelt thanks to everyone at the club after he agreed to join Pontypridd.

The powerful forward announced his decision to depart the North Wales regional side in favour of their Indigo Group Premiership rivals on Saturday, ending a two-year association with the set-up.

A statement on his Twitter account, read: “I just wanted to thank RGC for the past two seasons I’ve had in North Wales.

“But as the page turns, I’m excited to be joining Pontypridd Rugby Club for the upcoming season.

“Will miss the club and the boys, can’t say the same about the away game coach journeys.”

Reynolds arrived at Stadiwm Zip World prior to their debut campaign in the Indigo Group Premiership, helping the club establish itself as a top-flight force and secure a historic WRU National Cup success for the first time in their history.

He is the latest big name to depart the squad during an eventful off-season to date, with skipper Evan Yardley opting for a return south with Cardiff and dynamic winger Sam Jones joining triple champions Merthyr after a series of standout performances last season.

Former Wales U20 international Sam Wainwright secured a switch for English Premiership giants Saracens on a developmental deal, and forward Tim Grey penned a short-term contract with Cardiff Blues that runs until the end of their Celtic Cup fixtures.
