ROCHDALE continued their winning streak in the Greater Manchester Junior League after beating Deeside U12s 48-25 to keep them top of the Division 2 table.

Deeside take on Denton next, on March 31, before facing Trafford B in the final game of the mini league on April 7.

Teams from Deeside also struggled in Aura Junior Netball League action this weekend, as the Dimples U9s and the Dice U10s were both consigned to double-header defeats.

The Dimples first lost out to a top-of-the-table Ellesmere Port Rockets team, before being desperately unlucky to be edged by Chester Warriors in a 5-4 loss.

Deeside Dice were handed tough fixtures against second placed Mold Finches and third placed Ellesmere Port Hurricanes, losing out 9-4 and 15-3 respectively despite showing great movement and working hard to make interceptions.

Boughton Belles Jaguars rise to third in the U11s division after overcoming Deeside Dots 11-1, a scoreline that perhaps doesn’t reflect the determined Dots performance.

Sophie Woosey once again produced an excellent performance for the Deeside Dace U12s, picking up a player of the match award for inspiring her team to a 20-3 win over North Dragon Flares.

Deeside Dragonflies stay third, behind the Dace, after sweeping aside Mold Dragons 16-2 thanks to a new combination of play and a player of the match performance from Tilly Aston.

Robyn Lees helped her Deeside Doves team inflict a hard-fought 18-12 defeat on the current U13 league leaders Holywell Hedgehogs, with second place Rhosnesni Rooks taking full advantage by beating Deeside Dixies 33-1.

Third placed Deeside Diamonds couldn’t do the same as they ultimately paid the price for a slow start by slipping to a 11-10 defeat against Rhosnesni Raptors, despite nearly pulling off a remarkable comeback to claim a draw or win.
