TAYHA JEFFERIES starred for the Deeside Diamonds as she helped her side to a 14-4 win over the Dixies in their U13s Junior Netball League derby clash.

In Under 10s action, meanwhile, the Deeside Dimples team slipped to a 4-0 defeat against Boughton Belle Pumas but received praise for their resoluteness.

Deeside Dragonflies, though, were able to exact revenge on behalf of their younger counterparts as the U12 side claimed a convincing 25-9 victory over Boughton Belle Pythons.

Sophie Woosey deservedly picked up the player of the match award for helping her team to a win that keeps them third in the table.

Second place Deeside Dace, meanwhile, are now just a point behind top of the table Chester Bandits after battling to a 25-16 success over Ellesmere Port with Laura Haden being named player of the match for her efforts.

Deeside continue to dominate Group A of the U14 league with the DJs maintaining their unbeaten run with an assured performance against Chester Wolves leading them to a 21-8 victory to keep them clear at the top.

The Dominoes stay second – with just four games to go - after Kellie Murray helped her team to a closely contested 21-14 success over Rhosnesni Raiders.

In U14s Group B, a great team performance led the Deeside Darts to a 25-7 win over Boughton Belle Jets with Keavy Penton picking up the player of the match award.

Deeside representative teams were also in Greater Manchester Junior League action this weekend, with the U14s pulling off a stunning 82-25 success against DNA to maintain their perfect record in the three games so far.

The U12s, meanwhile, were cruelly denied by a strong second half performance by Rivington who powered to a 28-18 win after just two points separated the sides at the midway point of the game.
