MOLD A continue their impressive form by whitewashing hosts Flint Phoenix A 8-0 in Division One of the North East Wales Badminton League.

Zoe Moorcroft and Nicola White came closest to winning an event for Flint at first ladies, but were eventually beaten 15/21, 21/16, 23/21 by Mold duo Jo Thomas and Jane Peace.

Denbigh also proved too hot to handle on the road as they cruised to a 7-1 success at Llangollen.

Helen Evans celebrated her return from injury for Denbigh to remain undefeated in both of her events, while Steve Aylott claimed the player of the match award.

Aylott combined with Beverly Dolman at first mixed to outlast Nik Evans and Jane Jones 17/21, 21/14, 21/14.

There appears to be no stopping Eros as they continued their Division Two title assault with an 8-0 thumping of Rossett B.

At first men’s, the silky skills of Stuart Mears were backed up by the raw power of James Hulley as the duo had little trouble overcoming Pete Watkins and Neil Pritchard 21/14, 21/9.

Mal Davies starred for Mold B as they clinched an impressive 7-1 victory at Connah's Quay.

Davies and Alex Much combined at fourth mixed to get the better of Mark White and Sian Ellis 21/12, 18/21, 21/17.

Flint Phoenix C were unable to throw a spanner in the works of Prestatyn A's Division Three dominance as they crashed to a 7-1 home defeat.

Phoenix’s only winning combination was at second mixed when Alfie Moorcroft and Ro Spencer raised their game to overcome Terry Wynne and Caitlin Dolan 17/21, 21/13, 21/14.

Prestatyn B had similar success when they routed a depleted Holywell B, who were two players short, 7-1.

At first mixed, Holywell’s George Hood and Linda Roberts spared their side's blushes as they showed greater tactical awareness and speed to outclass Simon Brennan and Ruth Salisbury 21/17, 21/8.
