CEFN DRUIDS brought the curtain down on their Welsh Premier League campaign in style by thumping Llandudno 5-0.
The Ancients needed victory in an attempt to wrestle ninth place from Carmarthen and goals from Jack Kenny (2), Aaron Simpson, Dean Rittenberg and Fisnik Hajdari saw Druids uphold their end of the bargain.
Carmarthen were not to be denied ninth spot as they defeated Aberystwyth Town 6-2, but Druids' performance pleased boss Huw Griffiths.
"We were the better side," said Griffiths. "Does 5-0 flatter us? Probably because they certainly deserved to score. I would have been disappointed not to score if I was them.
"But we kept the ball well and played some good football - as did Llandudno - in difficult conditions.
"I'm delighted in the manner in which we won, and we had chances to score one or two more goals."
Griffiths was also pleased with Druids' following in a crowd of just 146.
He added: "I was really pleased with the supporters.
"We had quite a few there and it was great to see.
"The players thanked them for coming and it was nice to reward them with five goals and a win."
