AARON NORTH'S late leveller means the champagne is still on ice for Flint Mountain in their bid to win the North East Wales League title.

A Luke Rush own goal looked like giving leaders Flint Mountain the win they needed but North popped up to make it 1-1.

Victory for Rob Marshall's side at Connah's Quay U18s on Friday will seal the title.

Acton can still possibly deny Mountain and they moved into second spot thanks to a 6-2 thrashing of Penyffordd Lions.

Alistair Gibson's hat-trick and strikes from top scorer Niall Challinor, Luke Harrington and Steve Powell secured the win after Aadm Pugh had scored twice for the hosts.

Connah's Quay U18s also hit six with Adam Woosey grabbing three of them in a 6-1 win at Brymbo Victoria for whom Taylor Keefe hit back.

Ethan Gault, Ricardo Chinea and James Worthington also scored for Nomads.

Caerwys and Borras Park Albion played out a goal-less draw.
