THE Welsh National League hasn’t done Cefn Albion any favours in what is the biggest week in the club’s history.

Albion face Pontardawe Town in the Welsh Trophy Final at Aberystwyth’s Park Avenue ground on Saturday but have to take on Brymbo in a midweek Premier Division clash tonight.

Llay Welfare have Matthew Worrall, George Finlay, Tom Gobern (pictured) and Mikey Wright back for the home game against Brickfield Rangers.

“It’s our final home game of the season and we’ll be looking for nothing other than a win against a Bricky side who had an excellent win at the weekend,” said Llay boss Mike Gadie.

Brickfield thrashed Chirk AAA on Saturday and club spokesman Andy Ruscoe said: “The mood in the camp is buzzing at the moment as the club enters a new beginning.

“Nothing changes from the squad that won at the weekend meaning spring chicken Dave Hooson will keep his place with a youthful first team.”

In Division One, Mynydd Isa Spartans entertain Rhydymwyn and they will be without Daz Jones and Nathan Jones.

Rhyd boss Dave Willetts said: “Our recent good form will hopefully continue as we use our league games as preparation for the league cup final next week.”
