CONNAH'S QUAY NOMADS will tackle Cardiff Met in the Welsh Cup semi-final at Latham Park on Sunday, March 31.

The Football Association of Wales have confirmed that both semi-finals - The New Saints also face Barry Town United - will be held at the home of Newtown on the final weekend of the month.

Andy Morrison's Nomads will face Cardiff Met, who beat the Flintshire outfit in the League Cup semi-finals earlier this season, on the Sunday at 12.30pm.

By the time that game kicks off then both teams will know who they could meet in the final with TNS facing Barry on Saturday, March 30 at 7.30pm.

Andrew Howard, FAW head of competitions, said: “An enthralling weekend of Welsh Cup action lies ahead at the end of the month and given the unpredictable drama that we have already seen this season, it’s too difficult to call who will win a place in the 132nd final.

“The draw has provided us with two mouth-watering ties between the top two teams from the north and the top two teams from the south and we are able to showcase both matches in an excellent stadium in central Wales."
