PENYCAE have been crowned champions in the U16s League.

Ruben Thorne opened their account in the 2-0 win against Rhosddu United and a second half strike from Owen Bathers helped seal the title.

Kinnerton Oaks floored Johnstown 6-0 courtesy of doubles from Owen Davies and Will Pritt and one each from Luke Hoover and Josh Marshall.

Match of the day in the U15s League saw Borras Park Rangers secure a 6-1 victory against second-placed Ruthin Town to keep their title hopes alive.

Kian Harrington, Tom Hughes (2), Alex Palmer, Rhys Bagnall and Jack Bagnall got the goals.

Borras Park Albion defeated Rhos Aelwyd 4-1 thanks to Oliver Johnson, Jake Harper, Sam Moore and Toby Keenan. Aelwyd did get back on level terms through Lewis Williams while their keeper Harris Weeks saved a penalty.

In the derby between Llay United and Gresford Athletic, it was the latter who claimed the bragging rights. Llay took an early lead from the penalty spot but Joe Williams levelled from the spot and Finn Williams snatched a dramatic winner deep into stoppage time.

In the U12s League, leaders Gresford Athletic eased past Brickfield Rangers. Ashley Williams was the day’s top scorer firing in eight goals. Tom Blaze (3), Luca Cupit (2), Zac Royce, Rhys Williams and Ben Edwards also netted.

Borras Park Albion returned home from their trip to Ruthin Town with a 2-0 success thanks to Theo Williams’ double.

Cefn United went down 5-1 to FC Brickfield for whom Reece Wood (2), Leo Parker, Sam Aplin and William Mullen scored. Taylor Crouch was Cefn’s scorer.

Borras Park Rangers had to work hard to beat Coedpoeth United 2-0 where Kory Weston-Jones netted both goals.

Kinnerton Oaks and Llangollen fought out a thrilling 2-2 draw and it was late goals from Ryan Jakolevs and Rhys Penge who earned Llan a point.

U13s League leaders Borras Park Albion got the better of Rhostyllen with Kian Parry, Jack Gibson and Alex Whiting all scoring hat-tricks.

Harvey Davies (2), Jack Massey, Tom Jones, Jay Richardson (2) and Iwan Bennett (2) also scored.

Bala Juniors finished up second best against Coedpoeth United for whom Joe Colley struck twice in a 6-2 success.

Adam Thomas, Matty Hunter, James Wills and Cal Roberts were also on target with Efan Jones and Matty Thorpe replying.

Brickfield Rangers were also beaten 6-2 by Brymbo Lodge. Man of the match Jack Cole scored four with Charlie Burton and Freddie Trueman also on the scoresheet. Dave Zabo and Adam Williams were the Rangers’ marksmen.

Chirk Youth beat Kinnerton Oaks 8-1 while Corwen Youth just edged out Llay United 4-3, Benjamin Wilson-Davies, Morgan Hodgson (2) and Ethan Metcalf the Corwen scorers.

Rhosddu United were 6-1 winners against Gresford Athletic, for whom Lewis Mullen fired a consolation goal. Winning it for United were Iwan Hughes, Joe Jones, Alec Rigby, Mitch Mitchelmore and two-goal Lewis Wills.
