CONNAH'S QUAY NOMADS have been handed a Welsh Cup semi-final tie against Cardiff Met

Andy Morrison's men, who won the competition last season, will face Met later this month, while The New Saints face Barry Town in the other last four tie,

“The key is to go as far as we possibly can, said Morrison. “We beat TNS at the quarter-final stage last season, battered Bangor in the semi-finals and then won comfortably in the final.

“We’ve followed that on this year after being given three really tough away games - against Guilsfield, Carmarthen and Caernarfon.

“We’ve come through all three of them in the end, we were worthy winners and now we are in the semi-finals.”

Wales C, meanwhile, announce their squad for the clash with England C on March 19, today, with Nomads’ trio Rob Hughes, Jay Owen and Jake Phillips, and a number of Cefn Druids players, including Nathan Peate, up for selection.
