CONNAH'S QUAY NOMADS duo Andy Morrison and Michael Bakare have been nominated for December awards.

Morrison has been shortlisted alongside Barry Town United boss Gavin Chesterfield and Newtown chief Chris Hughes for the Welsh Premier League's Manager of the Month award.

Table-topping Nomads have also seen former Wrexham attacker Bakare shortlisted for December's Player of the Month honour after scoring two goals and four assists.

Bakare, who will be looking to continue his rich vein of form at Carmarthen Town on Saturday, is up against Newtown stopper Davie Jones, Barry striker Kayne McLaggon and The New Saints attacker Ryan Brobbel with the winners of both awards revealed next week.

Cefn Druids, meanwhile, have seen midfielder Jordan Evans win the December Goal of the Month award.

Evans took the prize, ahead of team mate Dean Rittenberg and Nomads' Andy Owens amongst others, for his long-range half-volley against Aberystwyth Town on December 21.

Druids complete the first phase of their season with a trip to Newtown on Saturday night.
