CONNAH'S QUAY NOMADS have now lost three members of the meanest defence in the 2017/18 Welsh Premier League season.

Following on from Sean Smith's move to Bala, Kai Edwards and Mike Pearson have switched the Deeside Stadium for Llandudno, who are rebuilding under boss Iwan Williams.

Edwards, 27, and Pearson, 30, were part of a Nomads' back-line that conceded just 29 goals in 32 league outings last season, and their signatures have delighted Williams.

“The signings of both Kai and Peo are huge for us as a football club and they just epitomise what we want at this club," he told Llandudno's official website. "They are fantastic players who have a wealth of experience in the league.

"More importantly they are good characters that will hopefully put on us on a path to where we want to go.”

Kai's brothers, Zebb and Zyaac, are also believed to be close to making the move to Llandudno from Prestatyn Town, who were relegated to the Cymru Alliance.
