CONNAH'S QUAY'S long wait for a Premier Division win goes on.

Martin Burger's side lost their opening eight games of the season and a ninth successive defeat arrived on Saturday as Quay went down by nine wickets against St Asaph.

Quay batted first and wickets fell at regular intervals, opener Burger top scoring with 25 as his team were dismissed for 113 in 39.2 overs, Joshua Clarke contributing with 21 as Jason Foulkes and Alex Baker both claimed four victims.

Duncan Midgley was in devastating form at the top of the order, cracking 10 fours and three sixes in his unbeaten 86 from 79 balls as St Asaph reached a winning score of 115 for one.

Fellow strugglers Brymbo also slumped to another defeat, losing by eight wickets at high-flying Denbigh.

Captain James Claybrook made 42 but he lacked support and Brymbo finished on 101 for six after 40 overs.

It was a total that never looked beyond Denbigh, skipper Harrison Jones ending 60 not out as the home side won with 102 for two inside 31 overs to climb up to second place.

Bangor have gone top of the table following an eight wickets success over Pwllheli who were dismissed for 99, Lawrance Barraclough top scored with 26 as Franco Kasner took 6 for 32.

Owen Reilly led the way at the top of the order with an unbeaten 40 as Bangor made 100 for two for victory.

Mochdre were dismissed for just 64 in their game against Llandudno but it proved to be enough as the visitors were all out for 49.

Llandudno were 14 for seven at one staged before Jack Rimmington (17) and Jamie Grimshaw (12) staged a mini-revival.

The games between Northop and Menai Bridge, and Pontblyddyn versus Gresford, were both cancelled.

Llay Welfare lost by five wickets in their Division One top of the table clash with Conwy.

Nathan Humphreys and David Wright both made 21 before falling as Llay were all out for 125.

Opener Shaun Davies led the way with 40 as Conwy won with 126 for four to remain as leaders, Llay occupying second place.

Mold in third position lost by four wickets against Hawarden Park.

Duane Williams (30) and Wes Gillam (23) scored the bulk of the runs as Mold were dismissed for 83, Michael Wootton, Campbell Marr, Ian Martin and Adam Cross all taking two wickets.

Opener David Hughes struck 53 as Park triumphed with 84 for six.

Gwersyllt Park ran out nine wickets winners against Bethesda who were all out for 108, Ethan McCarthy claimed 5 for 17 and Michael Griffiths 3 for 19.

Park didn't hang around in reply, Jake James unbeaten with 70 in his side's 109 for one.

Dafydd Bailey top scored with 35 as Carmel were all out for 114 but it proved to be enough as opponents Llanrwst were stopped on 86, Oliver Saynor and Barry Mcgauty in devastating form as the duo both finished with 5 for 22.

Ruthin (83 for nine) just about secured victory against Abergele (82) while the clash between Bersham and Dolgellau was cancelled.
