GRESFORD made it back-to-back Premier Division victories with a comprehensive 145-run home success over Pwllheli.

Captain Daniel Williams continues to impress as opener, top scoring with 76 as Gresford posted 251 for nine, Chris Ellwood (62) and Gareth Bell (31) also in the runs.

That Gresford total always looked out of reach for Pwllheli, who lost four of their top five for a combined 16 runs as Simon Perry (3-16) and Ross Willets (2-2) caused plenty of problems.

Pwllheli were eventually bowled out for 106 inside 28 overs to hand Gresford a crucial success.

There was disappointment for Pontblyddyn as they suffered a six-run defeat at St Asaph.

Daz Wilcock (3-21), James Hughes (3-52) and Rhys Jones (2-26) impressed with the ball as Pont bowled their hosts out for 150.

The visitors’ reply got off to a poor start as they slipped to two for two, before James Griffiths (33) and Chris Moss (26) whelped rebuild the innings.

But with victory in sight, Pont came up agonisingly short as Liam Moores finished with 3-27.

Northop will also be wondering what might have been as they lost by two wickets at Llandudno.

Ammar Mahmood (49), Ben Beaver (48), Tom Blackwell (34) and Andy Poynton (31 not out) were in the runs as Northop posted 247 for nine.

James Birch then picked up 4-60 for Northop, but it was in vain as Llandudno secured victory with 14 balls to spare.

Connah’s Quay were unable to prevent Bangor from wrapping up a 10-wicket win to climb to the top of the table.

Scott Adams (31), Martin Burger (29) and Callum Miller (27) were the only Quay batsmen to pass four as the visitors were dismissed for 109.

David Winter then struck 62 not out and Idrees Ijaz hit an unbeaten 35 as Bangor cruised to 111 without loss.

Like Quay, Brymbo remain winless as Mochdre wrapped up a 103-run away win.

James French struck 97 as Mochdre posted 274 for five after winning the toss, Gareth Boyes with two of the wickets to fall.

Mohamed Nilam Jayman (78) and Boyes (32no) were in the runs for Brymbo, but they lacked support from elsewhere as they hosts were bowled out for 171.

Menai Bridge (231) knocked Denbigh (188) off top spot courtesy of their 43-run home win.

Mold needed just 37 overs to secure a 10-wicket Division One win over Carmel.

John Crane took 5-7 and Usman Butt and Richard Deniz claimed two wickets apiece as Carmel were skittled for just 40.

Bersham also had a tough day at the office as they were beaten by 201 runs at Ruthin, who posted 280 for nine, despite Tim Jones’ 3-44.

The visitors were then bundled out for 70 in reply.

David Hughes will be wondering how he finished on the losing side as Hawarden Park were beaten by 90 runs against Gwersyllt Park.

Hughes claimed 4-28 with the ball as Gwersyllt posted 208 for nine, a total helped by a host of dropped catches.

The opening batsman then hit 70 not out, but Hawarden were dismissed for 118, Neil Pearson claiming 4-44.

Llay Welfare (139) suffered a seven-run defeat at home to Abergele (146).
