IT promises to be a truly memorable summer of cricket - and children between five and eight years old have the chance to play their part.
All Stars Cricket programme is set to get underway in May, running for eight weeks, as the next Joe Root, Jos Buttler or Anya Shrubsole, look to progress their talent.
Eight one-hour sessions are held, focusing on fun in an active environment, while developing movement skills in a safe and fully accredited arena, including batting, bowling, throwing and catching.
Every child that registers will receive a backpack full of goodies, including a bat, ball, activity boos, personalised shirt and cap, with a number of clubs in Flintshire and Wrexham offering the programme.
Buckley, Carmel, Connah's Quay, Hawarden Park, Mold, Northop, Northop Hall and Pontblyddyn are staging the scheme in Flintshire, while Bersham, Brymbo, Gresford, Gwersyllt, Llay and Marchwiel are Wrexham-based clubs running the programme.
